Post Script

P.S. I didn't mention, but for real know that everyone would appreciate prayers for the hurricane. Pray that the Lord, in His awesome mighty power, would dwindle this huge storm down to just a rain shower. He is MORE than capable of doing just that. Especially pray the people from Galveston, and the people who had to evacuate. It's hard to leave your home in the dust, not sure of what will be left when you return.

And while your praying, remember to pray for all of those that are dealing with the memory of 9/11 today. I know we all remember it all too well, but pray for the ones that were directly affected. People are hurting today all over. Anniversary's of tragedy's like this, are never easy!

Okay, I'm out for real this time! Gonna go chow down on some yummy home grilled burgers!

Hurrican Ike and Everything Alike

I don't really know what else is like Hurricane Ike, but it rhymed, and I like rhymes. But, I don't like Ike. Another rhyme, yes I know.

Anyway, it's Thursday evening and I am already bored. Oh goodness, it's going to be a long weekend. Especially if we loose power, which will most likely happen.

It has been forever since I've blogged, but, we've been busy around the office and plus we spent last weekend in Galveston! I am SO thankful that our retreat wasn't supposed to be this weekend. We would've been so disappointed, because by now it would have been cancelled.

Speaking of Galveston, did you go?! I did, and had an absolute blast. If you did go, what was your favorite part. Since my family wasn't with me, I am sure the trip was a little different for me, but my favorite part was Schlitterbahn and the band. I've never been to this Schlitterbahn, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, and even conquered some of my fears.

Y'all, I rode the 2 drop-straight-down rides, Cliffhanger and Rohr! Every part of my body was shaking as I was walking up the stairs on both rides, but once I actually did the ride, it was an absolute thrill. I don't think I've ever experienced so much of an adrenaline rush. (Well, I'm sure I have, but I like to make things dramatic sometimes!) Anyway, we spent Saturday afternoon there, and even though it took everything out of me, and I was absolutely exhausted, I loved every part of it. Really, I loved every part of the weekend, so I hope that if you went you did, too.

Well girls, at the moment my brain can't think of anything to write about. I am sure I will be back blogging this weekend about random things, because, well frankly, like I said earlier, Ike has already brought boredom to this sweet place.

My brain is also confused, because this huge storm is coming, yet at the moment it is bright and sunny, nice weather, my dad is grilling some burgers, and I am so ashamed to say, but he is also watering the yard as I type. Yes, he is watering. Don't ask, I don't understand.

I guess this is just the calm before the storm. Thank you, Jesus for little brothers who come home from college to keep their older sisters entertained during a hurricane.

Hunker down, sisters! And let me know what you're plans are regarding the hurricane!

Love, love, love!
